SSI Basic Diver FAQs
The SSI Basic Diver recognition is valid for 6 months. It is designed as an introductory experience to autonomous diving before committing to the full Open Water Diver course.
For your safety, international regulations recommend waiting at least 18 to 24 hours after your last dive before boarding a flight. Please keep this in mind when planning your holiday.
Yes, we have professional female instructors on our team. If you feel more comfortable learning or diving with a woman, please let us know during your booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Absolutely! Diving on your period is perfectly safe and causes no issues with your experience or safety in the water. Our female staff members are available daily to offer advice or answer any questions you may have.
Yes! A great advantage of this program is that the dives you complete can be credited toward your Open Water Diver certification, provided you continue your training within the 6-month period.
